Join The Journey
As Special Olympics programs across Canada continue to respond to the challenges of keeping athletes connected and active during the pandemic, this year’s national team program is extending the invite to all athletes across the country to “Join the Journey.”
“Join the Journey” will provide an opportunity for Special Olympics athletes and coaches from coast to coast to coast to share in the joy of the Special Olympics Team Canada (SOTC) journey, so they too can benefit from virtual training alongside the SOTC 2022 Training Squad.
This “Join the Journey” concept supports SOC’s commitment to grassroots programs by making available national team resources to all Special Olympics Canada athletes and coaches. While the Training Squad benefits from increased training and tools, fellow athletes and coaches in community programs across the country can “Join the Journey” and enjoy training alongside the Training Squad.

Virtual Fitness Workouts
Strength and Cardio Workout with Jon - Mondays 5:00pm-6:00pm. Jon will be providing LIVE home workouts via ZOOM to help challenge athletes to stay fit, healthy and strong with various workouts consisting of HIIT circuits, to strength work, as well as mobility workouts that can be done with little to no equipment at home.
Strength and Mobility Workout with Jon - Wednesdays 12:00pm-1:00pm. Jon will be leading the athletes through full body strength and mobility workouts to help improve overall strength as well as mobility and flexibility to improve recovery and improve injury prevention.
Strength Workout With Cody - Saturdays 11:00am-12:00pm. Each workout will start with some mobility and then we will work our way through a full-body strength workout. Each week will feature progressions to keep things fun and allow for some variety.
In place of our programs that are on hold, check out some of the new fitness partners who would love to welcome our athletes into their spaces when it is safe to do so.
